Record Description | Sheer limestone cliff facing due west. Limestone ashwood with stunted aspens scattered across the whole face of the cliff and self seeding in the turf below. Yews compete hopelessly for space with self seeded larches along the whole of the top edge of the cliff. A number of very small junipers are scattered along the lower part of the cliff.
This Scar is the only cliff in Swaledale to possess aspen, juniper and yew in direct association.
