Website Cookie Information
Only continue viewing this website if you accept these cookies being set on your computer, or use your browser's settings to block cookies being set, but please read the information below first:

Our website uses two types of cookies: Session and Analytical cookies. SWAAG (swaag.org) does not set cookies which either tracks your internet use or to generate advertisements based on your use of swaag.org.

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we put on your computer. These cookies allow us to distinguish you from other users of the website which helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website.
Below in the Value box is a Google Analytics cookie from swaag.org set on my own PC.

The Analytical cookies allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the site when they’re using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example by making sure users are finding what they need easily.

The Analytical cookie set by Google Analytics are embedded in our webpages. SWAAG would immediately remove the code if Google was found to be abusing their position.

SWAAG Members login generates a Session cookie which is set on their computer. A Session cookie, as its name implies, remembers the member's login information until their web browser is closed, when it is automatically deleted. Session cookies enable the user to browse all of the members' pages without continually being asked for their username and password. A similar session cookie is set when viewing the SWAAG database and image records. However if you select the Remember me option then your login details are stored in a permanent cookie.

When the browser is closed all Session cookies are deleted requiring members to log on again the next time they visit those password protected pages.

Analytical cookie information is available on this Google Web page

Three examples of 'cookie derived' information available to SWAAG are displayed below:
