How to Search the Healaugh and Muker Manor Court Books

The Phase 1 books (Books A to E) transcribed by the late Dr Timothy Bagenal are in pdf file format. They are large files so may take some time to download depending on your broadband speed.

Browsers now include a pdf reader to view the files. Alternatively you may prefer to use the free Adobe Acrobat Reader DC available at: https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/

If you do so; it is recommended that you uncheck any 'Optional offers'.

Each pdf book will open in a new window. You can just click the X at the top right of your screen to exit the book at any time.

To search the pdf file hold down the Control key and press F [Ctrl+F], enter your search word or phrase and click through each search occurrence in turn.

The Phase 2 books, Book F onwards will have a separate search mechanism. Book F will be available around April 2017, and the others as they have been transcribed.
