Where's the tent?
Oh dear! Overnight high winds had pretty much destroyed one of the tents so accommodation was more cramped than usual today. Happily the accompanying rain blew over by mid-morning and much was accomplished. Today's efforts were mostly about cleaning back features, recording what we had and beginning to backfill.
I will take this opportunity, by the way, to acknowledge the incredible contribution made by Archaeologist Tony Liddell, our professional mentor. He has been a consistently reliable and cheerful guide for this bunch of enthusiastic amateurs!
Aaaargh! The amazing Tony Liddell
