Day Eight
With Area 1 currently on hold, Mick took the opportunity to teach some of the Newcastle students about dawing a scale representation of a trench.
On Area 2 the threshold stone we excavated last year has now been re-exposed and we can clearly see the relationship between that and the way in to the flagged area.
The students continued to excavate Area 3, removing large amounts of stones and earth; hard work in the hot sun.
Area 4 is also being developed, with what looks like a trackway coming up the hill to a pair of large, flat stones with what seems to be a decorative edging of white crinoidal limestone.
