More questions as time runs out
Another busy day at the Hagg with the team finishing off on the last full day of digging. Pottery was discovered under the flagged surface in the south-west area suggesting the terrace is built over an earlier phase. The jury is still out on the possible round house at the northern end: there seems to be a feature disappearing under the northern edge of the site, but, sadly, we do not have time this year to investigate further. Areas of the site were being prepared in readiness for the arrival tomorrow of the digger which will help us put back the soil we have spent the last two weeks removing.

hard at work is it a wall, or perhaps a round house?
