The Hagg statistics prove it: a mammoth achievement!
Treasurer Mike has been adding up all the time we have collectively donated to planning and delivering the 2017 dig on The Hagg and has come up with the staggering total of over two and a half thousand hours! This does not include the hours we expect to spend on post-excavation work like finds analysis and report writing. A truly wonderful collective achievement which involved local (and not so local) people of all ages coming together and devoting their tme and energy to push back the frontiers of History in glorious Swaledale.
Local children were enthralled by Philip's site tour
The excavation area was much larger than we have previously attempted
