Day Ten: Younger generation join in the digging!
Despite the weather forecast today there was no rain and conditions on the Hagg were quite mild. Work continued with clearing back and going lower in some areas. Two possible post holes were found which will be explored further tomorrow. The majority of rubble was cleared back to the wall at the NW edge of the site.
Tony, our professional archaeologist, has taken photographs of the sill and putative "porch" area for photogrammetry. Mike has continued to record the site and features with GPS.
The hard-working and enthusiastic diggers were joined by some younger helpers and one canine visitor who was not much help in digging but was keen to find the odd bone and occasional sandwich!

Lovely to see some young archaeologists today Mike gets busy with the GPS
