Some key features
Some key features of the Hagg site include the massive stone door sill in Roman style, some paving in white crinoidal limestone which may have been used for practical or aesthetic reasons, the putative roundhouse excavated previously and several quern fragments which may have been used on site or alternatively, used as building material. One of the fragments is a collared hopper quern of the type used by the Roman army.
