Hagg Dig Postponed to 2021
Given the ongoing COVID situation, Trustees have taken the decision to postpone this year's dig. In his letter to members, Chairman Dave Brooks said the dig... " has been deferred again, it will not be held in September 2020. Trustees have not set a new date, but if the Covid situation clears up we would be looking towards July 2021. You may remember that we were awarded a grant by the Royal Archaeological Institute (RAI) for this year’s dig but following correspondence with them they have confirmed to us that providing we retain the 2020 scope for the dig they will hold over the award to 2021; so good news there, we will have adequate funds for a dig next year."
