Please Note: The vast majority of SWAAG records
are 'Public' and can be viewed from the various search
pages that are available from the Public Search Menu. However
members have found a variety of features to record in the database; that are
'sensitive' to various forms of human activity both malicious and
inadvertent. Many of these records are protected by just hiding the
National Grid Reference, but the database contains two other methods:
1) Members: Some records have a 'members only'
status and can only be viewed by using the Members Keyword Search in
the Database Records: Members Database Menu. These records do not show up on the Public Menu Search options.
2) Secret: This is very rarely used. The record is only
visible to
the person recording it. It is primarily used as a mechanism to
pass the information on to the YDNPA and the NYCC Historic
Environmental Records databases. Each year SWAAG sends all our new
records and updated records to both of these HER databases.
