It will be led by Archaeological Services Durham University (ASDU) on a fascinating Romano-British site at Hagg Farm, Fremington, Reeth, where we will be excavating what we believe is the main settlement platform. So far this high status settlement appears have some unique structures which we hope to elucidate further [See last years dig blogs: Dig 1  Dig2]. This excavation is open to non-members whether experienced or not. Guidance will be given to those who have not excavated before. We have to make a charge for SWAAG excavations that are professionally lead to help towards covering the cost. This is £5/day for non-members and £3/day for members. Membership is currently £20/annum.
Non-members please use the Contact page if you want to attend.
